Periodontology

The treatment of periodontal disease

Boala parodontala este o infecție a țesuturilor care susțin dinții.
Periodontal disease is a chronic condition caused by the microbial flora in the oral cavity. It affects the structures that support the tooth or are located on the dental arch: the gum, the periodontal ligament, and the alveolar bone.

Gingii care sângerează uşor (de exemplu, la periaj sau folosirea aţei dentare), gingii roşii, umflate sau dureroase, gingii care par să se retragă de la dinţi, puroi între dinţi şi gingii, respiraţie urât mirositoare persistentă sau un gust neplăcut în gură, dinţi mobilitate.
Initially, gingivitis, which is inflammation of the gums, appears, after which the disease progresses to deeper structures. Gingivitis manifests as bleeding during brushing or chewing, and a change in gum colour, which becomes reddish-purple. A feeling of tightness and itching also occurs. (more…)

Wisdom tooth extraction

When do wisdom teeth appear?
Wisdom teeth are the last to appear, after all the other teeth, right at the back of the mouth. They usually appear between the ages of 17 and 25, but can also come through much later.

Are there problems with the development of wisdom teeth?
Due to the development of the species, the jaw does not have enough space for 32 teeth, but generally only for 28. As wisdom teeth are the last to appear, they no longer have enough space to erupt correctly. (more…)
