\nIn aesthetics, a range of dental treatments are used, such as dental prosthetics, orthodontics, dental implantology, and oral surgery. The techniques used include: teeth whitening, dental veneering (with composite materials or ceramic dental veneers), dental reshaping, orthodontic treatments, or the insertion of dental implants.<\/p>\n

What does faceting mean?<\/strong><\/span>
\nVeneers mean replacing the visible surface of a damaged tooth. The procedure involves grinding down the tooth enamel and removing discoloured parts of the tooth from the gum to the incisal edge. After grinding, an impression is taken and the veneer is made. Its colour is chosen according to the shade of the other teeth. The veneer is made by technicians. It is cemented onto the vestibular surface of the tooth using special cements that are long-lasting.
\nContouring can be performed using composite materials or ceramic veneers. Contouring with composite materials is carried out in a single session. Contouring with ceramic veneers has the advantage of long-term stability.<\/p>\n

What does orthodontic treatment mean?<\/strong><\/span>
\nOrthodontic treatment aims to straighten and correct the position of teeth, with effects on both functional and aesthetic grounds. Orthodontic treatment involves fitting metal or ceramic devices to the teeth, to which wires are attached that gradually move the teeth into their normal position on the dental arch.<\/p>\n

What does a dental implant mean?<\/strong><\/span>
\nDental implants are another recommended technique in dental aesthetics because they can achieve much better aesthetic results than those obtained with a bridge. An implant is a device made of a biocompatible material (most often screw-shaped) that replaces the root or roots of lost teeth. Fixed or removable dental prosthetic work is attached to these structures, which we can also call artificial roots.<\/p>\n

What are aesthetic fillings?<\/strong><\/span>
\nAesthetic fillings are not just a simple dental treatment. Special materials and special layering techniques must be used to restore the natural translucency of the tooth and allow light to reflect.
