General anaesthesia is a necessary procedure in certain circumstances for surgical interventions. It represents the most complex and complete form of anaesthesia and is carried out through different methods.<\/strong><\/p>

Within the Chiromax Dental Clinic, local anaesthesia is administered, also assisted by various sedation techniques:<\/strong><\/p>

  • by mouth;<\/strong><\/li>
  • inhalers;<\/strong><\/li>
  • intravenous.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Inhalation Area<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    Inhalation Area <\/strong>This involves the administration of a gas mixture (nitrous oxide and oxygen) via a nasal mask, which induces a state of relaxation with sedative and analgesic effects. During this time, the patient remains conscious and cooperative with the medical staff.<\/p>

    Therefore, the method can be applied to patients with \u201edentophobia\u201d or various anxieties.<\/p>

    Contraindications for inhalosedation:<\/p>

    • acute respiratory infections (colds, polyps, tonsillitis);<\/li>
    • ear infection, sinusitis;<\/li>
    • chronic pulmonary diseases (bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, COPD);<\/li>
    • Pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy<\/li>
    • Neuroanaemic syndrome.<\/li><\/ul>

      The patient does not require any special preparation, the only recommendation would be to refrain from eating for 2-3 hours beforehand and to possibly be accompanied.<\/p>

      The method does not present major risks, can be repeated many times, and the recovery time after application is very short (3-5 minutes). However, it has been found that it sometimes does not yield results in the case of individuals with impulsive behaviour or alcohol consumers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      ANALGOSEDAREA<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      ANALGOSEDAREA<\/strong> This is an anaesthetic technique that involves administering drugs intravenously, thereby inducing a controlled reduction in the patient's level of consciousness, accompanied by mild sedation and analgesia (lack of pain).<\/p>

      The effect is to achieve a state of lethargy or sleep, with a comfort that allows the patient to tolerate some short surgical procedures (approx. 1 hour).<\/p>

      It is very important that the patient does not eat for a minimum of 6 hours before sedation and does not drink water for a minimum of 2 hours before.<\/p>

      Another condition for applying this sedation technique is that the patient's vital functions must be monitored by an ICU specialist (anaesthesia and intensive care) throughout the procedure.<\/p>

      Following analgesia and sedation, there is a possibility that the depth of sedation may increase and require the administration of substances to counteract these effects. Additionally, some patients may experience nausea or vomiting after the procedure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      The evolution of medicine, with the emergence of numerous invasive and non-invasive investigative and diagnostic methods, and the performance of mini-surgical and dental interventions, has led to the widespread use of analgesia methods through local and general anaesthesia\/sedation techniques.<\/strong><\/p>

      The absence of pain, reduction of stress, and the comfort desired by the patient are objectives successfully achieved through analgosedation methods. Therefore, analgosedation is a concept that encompasses the reduction of anxiety, induction of sleep, absence of pain, and a feeling of well-being.<\/p>
